I hope that the glory and legacy of this historical football club will continue to increase by leaps and bounds with the passage of time in the coming years. On this grand occasion, I extend my heartiest congratulations to all the past and present players, office-bearers and other staff associated with this iconic football club.

I am sure that the Platinum Jubilee will be observed with great pomp and gaiety and wish the celebrations a grand success.

The Club Management has decided to commemorate the Platintun Jubilee of this historical and most proud moment through a unique event the top Indian Clubs namely Kingfisher East Bengal McDowell Mohun Bagan besides Mohammedan Sporting will participate. In addition we have invited Sheliield F C. an iconic Football Club from U.K. Which is recognized by FIFA & FA as the "World's First Football Club" to participate. This tournament will be played at the Salt Lake Staditun. Ex India Cricket Captain Saurav Ganguly will be the Brand Ambassador for this toumament and will even don the Moharnmedan Sporting team colors!

I take this opportrmity to wish all the teams best of luck and also thank them for participating in the tournament. We shall always strive to take the game to greater heights and convey my best wishes to the organizers and wish the event all success.

As a football fan, I have had many opportunities to see the high level of the game played by so many outstanding players of your Club, who brought laurels not only for their Club but were also role models to a large number of football players in the country. I am very happy to learn that to mark the great event, your Club is going to organise the Platinum Jubilee Cup, where an English team will also take part, apart from our Big Three. I am sure the games which will be held for the cup will cater high standard of football and will be enjoyed by all,

I am also happy to learn that to mark the occasion, the Club is going to publish a Ceremonial Souvenir and I Wish the same also glorious success. I pay my tribute to the great contribution made by players of the club who created history. I also convey my very best wishes to the present players, the office bearers and all the participants in the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

The Mohammedan Sporting Club has always held a special place among the fratemity of footballers and sports persons in general. They have Won many laurels in various tournaments, winning also the admiration of their many supporters.

Football is often described as the most popular sport in the world, because it is played by millions of people, brings joys to many. I am sure that the tournament will be an excellent opportunity to display the populinity of this sport, especially in front of the passionate football loving Kolkatans.

Besides Mohammedan Sporting, Kinglisher East Bengal and McDowell Mohun Bagan, will participate, in addition, to Sheffield F.C., U.K., Which is recognized by FIFA & FA as the 'World's First Football Club". Ex India Cricket Captain Saurav Ganguly will play for our Club and be Brand Ambassador for this event.
